Your privacy

This policy explains what personal information I collect when you use mirfahad.com — when you subscribe to my newsletter, grab a free resource, join a waitlist, take the quiz, or send me a message — and what I do with it. I try to keep this plain-English and short.

I only email people who ask me to, I never sell your data, and you can leave at any time. If you're in the UK, EU/EEA or a similar region, this policy is written to respect your rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR.

Who's responsible for your data

I'm Mir Fahad, an independent creator and game developer, and I'm the "data controller" for information collected through this site. If you have any questions or want to exercise your rights below, email me at support@mirfahad.com.

What I collect, and why

• Your name and email address — when you subscribe, request a freebie, join a waitlist or take the quiz. I use these to send you the thing you asked for and my newsletter and community updates. Legal basis: your consent.
• Your quiz answers — if you take the quiz, the options you pick (what you make, the tools you use, your goals, and similar). I use these to understand my audience and tailor what I create and send. Legal basis: your consent.
• Your message — if you use the contact form, the details you send me so I can reply. A contact message does not subscribe you to anything. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in responding to you.
• Basic technical data — your IP address and the time of your request, used only to prevent spam and abuse of the forms. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
• Usage analytics — anonymous, aggregated stats about how the site is used, via Google Analytics (which sets cookies). This helps me understand what's useful. Legal basis: your consent, where required.

When you tick the consent box on a form, I also keep a record that you consented and when — this is how I can show your sign-up was genuine.

Who I share it with

I don't sell your data. I share it only with the services that help me run the site:

• Brevo — my email platform, which stores your contact details and sends the newsletter and freebie emails.
• Hostinger — my web host, where the site and its records live.
• Google Analytics — for the anonymous usage stats described above.

These providers act on my instructions as data processors. Some may process data outside your country (including outside the UK/EEA); where they do, they rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long I keep it

I keep your contact details and quiz answers for as long as you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask me to delete your data, I remove it promptly. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.

Your rights

You can, at any time:

• Ask for a copy of the data I hold about you;
• Have it corrected or deleted;
• Withdraw your consent or object to a particular use;
• Ask me to restrict how I use it, or to send it to another service;
• Unsubscribe — every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, or just email me.

To do any of these, email support@mirfahad.com. If you're in the UK or EU/EEA and you think I've mishandled your data, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This site isn't aimed at children. If you're under 16, please don't send me your personal details without a parent or guardian's permission. If you believe a child has given me their data, contact me and I'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If I change how I handle your data, I'll update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. For anything significant, I'll let subscribers know by email.
